The aim of the Grecža table design is to draw attention to how oneís own roots can be an inexhaustible source of new creative paths. The design is inspired by the route of the roads that unite the towns of Grecža Salentina, transforming into an unmistakable sign and a significant surface. The road system, which for centuries represented the only means of communication, has been transformed into virtual and substantial communication, a creative filter that generates reflections and considerations directed to regain further consciousness of oneís own territory Ė an experience creating a cultural dimension that goes beyond spatiality. The Grecža table is made of a cold formed steel plate whose surface has been treated to produce a satinized and bright effect. The steel plate is covered by a 15 mm thick level of tempered glass, anchored by cylinders made of olive wood.
